The release date for the Google Pixel 10 has been confirmed for August 20, as previously reported. This year, the Pixel 10 series is expected to feature several upgrades, particularly in its audio capabilities. The new speakers are anticipated to provide the best audio quality seen in a Pixel device to date.
Interestingly, Google has opted not to include Dolby Atmos in the Pixel 10. While this decision may come as a surprise to some, it aligns with a broader trend where various smartphone manufacturers are moving away from Dolby Atmos. Currently, the Galaxy S25 series remains one of the few models still utilizing this technology.
The previous Pixel 9 series already had commendable audio performance, which adds to the excitement surrounding the forthcoming enhancements in the Pixel 10. Although the design of the Pixel 10 series closely resembles its predecessors, including the dimensions, there are significant upgrades beneath the surface. One of the most notable improvements is the enhanced camera stabilization feature, which could greatly benefit users interested in capturing high-quality video.
This enhancement is crucial, as video performance has historically been an area where Google has struggled to make advances. Additionally, the Pixel 10 will showcase a fresh palette of colors. For the first time since the redesign in 2021, Google has eliminated Obsidian and Porcelain as its standard black and white options.
Instead, consumers can look forward to shades like Ultra Blue, Limoncello, Iris, and Midnight. The Pro models will be available in Sterling Gray, Light Porcelain, Midnight, and Smoky Green, while the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will offer just Sterling Grey and Smoky Green, straying from the classic black and white offerings. These changes reflect a significant effort by Google to revamp the visual appeal of its devices.
