MSI has officially introduced its first line of gaming laptops equipped with the new RTX 50-series GPUs, including the highly anticipated RTX 5090. These laptops are designed to significantly enhance gaming performance, though prospective buyers should be ready to invest a considerable amount, as prices span from under $2,200 to a staggering $5,399.99 for the most advanced model. The laptops launch with various configurations, all powered by the RTX 5090, ensuring that users have access to the most robust portable GPU available. Following an initial announcement at CES 2025, MSI has confirmed the availability of these laptops at numerous retailers across the United States, such as Amazon, Newegg, B&H, Microcenter, and its own online store.

While the top-tier options may be appealing, buyers might consider starting with more affordable models, such as MSI’s Stealth and Vector lines. These models begin at $2,899 and $2,199, respectively, while still offering the RTX 5090 GPU. Consumers should weigh their options carefully, especially when considering the performance differences between laptop and desktop GPUs. MSI’s lineup encompasses four families of laptops, including the Vector series, Stealth series, Raider series, and the premium Titan series.

Notably, the limited edition Titan 18 HX Dragon Norse Myth model showcases a powerful Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX processor alongside a generous 64GB of RAM and a 4TB SSD. However, potential buyers should note that certain retailers, such as Amazon, may not yet have the RTX 5090 versions available. While the announcement of availability is exciting, many models are still out of stock or only offer “notify me” options on MSI’s own site. Nevertheless, Newegg provides the chance to pre-order many of these upcoming laptops, making it a practical option for eager gamers looking to upgrade.
