A few days ago, Samsung unveiled a teaser for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, highlighting the concept of an ‘Ultra’ experience. This sparked speculation among fans about the potential launch of a Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra.
However, it has been confirmed that Samsung will maintain the simpler branding of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 without introducing an Ultra variant. The anticipation surrounding the Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra appeared overstated from the outset.
Max Jambor, a tech insider, clarified on social media platforms that the Ultra title does not imply a new product. The teaser primarily served to generate excitement for the upcoming launch event.
Within the teaser, Samsung presented a silhouette of the device, offering limited insights while hinting at larger displays. According to recent leaks, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is set to feature an 8.2-inch main display with slightly thinner bezels compared to last year’s Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is anticipated to be officially launched in early July, although Samsung has yet to announce the exact date for its launch event. Reports suggest that this event will likely take place in New York, and further confirmation is expected shortly.
In conjunction with the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Samsung is also expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and a new version called the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. Additionally, a new tri-fold smartphone may be introduced later in the year, potentially exclusive to markets in Korea and China.
Earlier, we revealed insights into the design of the Galaxy Z Fold 7, indicating that while it will retain similarities to its predecessor, it is expected to be larger, thinner, and lighter.
