OnePlus has officially unveiled the Pad 3 after weeks of anticipation, marking its entry with the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The company describes the Pad 3 as “2025’s must-have tablet,” and after nearly a week of testing, I can concur. This tablet boasts impressive specifications and an enhanced user experience, particularly with OnePlus’ Open Canvas software, which originally premiered with the OnePlus Open in 2023. The functionality of Open Canvas shines on the 13.2-inch 7:5 aspect ratio display, allowing users to multitask with side-by-side app openings and picture-in-picture viewing.

In terms of design, the OnePlus Pad 3 will be available in two color options. In the United States, only the Storm Blue variant will be offered, while the Frosted Silver will be exclusive to India. Additionally, the Pad 3 features a remarkable sound system, equipped with eight speakers—four woofers and four tweeters—delivering an outstanding audio experience, perfect for media consumption. The OnePlus Pad 3 is priced at $699, featuring a striking 13.2-inch LCD display, the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage.

Notably, it supports OnePlus’ Multi-Screen features through O+ Connect, enabling it to function as a secondary display for Macs and facilitating quick sharing with Apple devices. OnePlus commits to providing three Android OS updates—Android 16, 17, and 18—along with six years of security updates, extending the support timeline compared to the OnePlus Pad 2. Pre-orders for the Pad 3 begin today, with general sales starting on July 8. The tablet will retail for $699 in the US and $999 in Canada.

As part of the pre-order offer, OnePlus will provide gifts such as the OnePlus Pad 3 Smart Keyboard or the OnePlus Stylo 2. Additionally, a student discount of 10% and an opportunity to trade in an eligible device for $100 off are available. Accessory options include the Smart Keyboard, priced at $199 in the US, the Stylo 2 at $99, and the Folio Case for $49.99.
