We are approaching the official release of Samsung’s One UI 8 Android skin. So far, teasers have suggested exciting new features, and recent leaks have provided insights into the design of the Samsung Reminders app in One UI 8. Anticipation is building as Samsung prepares for its summer Unpacked event, where we might get a closer look at this new interface.
While it’s likely that One UI 8 will resemble its predecessor, One UI 7, we can expect several visual updates and improvements aimed at enhancing user experience. The same updates apply to One UI Watch 8, which will also see changes tailored to smartwatches. A new leak has illustrated how the Samsung Reminders app is set to change.
However, it’s important to note that, given the early stage of this information, modifications could still occur before the official rollout. That being said, the enhancements to the Reminders app are practical enough that they seem unlikely to be removed. One of the most significant updates is a revamped home screen.
In the redesigned layout, users will see prominent buttons for “Today,” “Scheduled,” “Important,” “Place,” “No Alert,” and “Completed.” Currently, these options are accessed through a hamburger menu, requiring an additional tap. The My Reminders button will remain featured below these buttons.
Notably, the new design eliminates the hamburger menu entirely, although a three-dot menu will still exist in the top right corner. Furthermore, changes are being made to the Add Reminder interface. The “+” button will now move to be integrated within the text field, with a microphone button positioned to the right side, also within the text field.
This redesign promises to streamline the user experience and make reminders more accessible.
