Sennheiser, a well-known name in the audio industry, has made its mark with quality over-the-ear headphones, but it also has a growing presence in the earbuds market. The latest addition to their lineup is the new Sennheiser ACCENTUM Open, a pair of open earbuds designed to provide a “light as air” listening experience. Pricing and availability are key aspects of this launch.
The ACCENTUM Open earbuds will be available for $129.95 (CAD 149.95), making them a competitively priced option in the premium earbud category. Sennheiser is expected to start shipping these units in early June, so consumers won’t have to wait long to try them out. Unlike traditional earbuds that fit snugly inside the ear, open earbuds like the ACCENTUM sit just outside the ear canal.
This design allows users to enjoy music while remaining aware of their surroundings, making them ideal for workouts or jobs in environments that require alertness. Sennheiser aims to capitalize on this trend with the ACCENTUM Open, which are tailored to reduce ear fatigue during extended use. Equipped with well-tuned 11mm dynamic transducers, the ACCENTUM Open promises high-quality sound, backed by Sennheiser’s extensive history in audio excellence.
Additionally, these earbuds will feature Bluetooth multipoint connectivity, enabling users to connect to two devices simultaneously and switch between them seamlessly. Expect around 6.5 hours of playback on a single charge, which is fairly standard for earbuds, with the charging case offering a total of approximately 28 hours. A quick 10-minute charge can provide up to 1.5 hours of listening time.
The ACCENTUM Open will be available in two colors: Cream and Black, ensuring aesthetic appeal alongside functionality. Overall, Sennheiser appears set to deliver a strong contender in the earbuds market.
