A significant update is rolling out for a dozen Samsung smartphones in the US, as they begin to receive the Android 15-based One UI 7 update. Among the devices included in this update are popular models such as the Galaxy S21, S21+, S21 Ultra, as well as the S22 series (S22, S22+, S22 Ultra).

Additionally, the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Flip 3, Fold 4, and Flip 4 are also part of this rollout. The update initially started in Korea and has been gradually expanding to other markets, including the US.

It is important to note that the update is being released in stages, which means you may need to wait a while for it to become available on your device. The rollout has begun with major carriers for the Galaxy S21 series, while T-Mobile, Xfinity Mobile, and Compact are among the first to initiate it for the Galaxy S22 series.

Other carriers are expected to join soon. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 are currently receiving the update through T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, US Cellular, and others.

The update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3 follows a similar pattern. The size of the update is notably large, hovering around 5GB, although this can vary depending on the specific device.

This substantial update introduces a major new Android version in addition to the features included in One UI 7. Furthermore, it also incorporates the April 2025 security patch.

One UI 7 brings a fresh design overhaul, with new elements and updates to Samsung’s native apps. Enhanced AI features have been introduced through Galaxy AI, along with the new Now Bar feature.

There is much to explore, and users will discover additional capabilities upon installation.
