Google has recently made exciting announcements regarding enhancements to its AI Mode. The company emphasized that millions of users are already leveraging this feature in Labs. Users are increasingly engaging with the platform by posing longer questions, asking follow-ups for clarity, and uncovering new websites and businesses throughout their queries.

With AI Mode, users can dive deep into complex topics and solicit detailed explanations. The positive feedback received has prompted Google to expand the capabilities of this mode, making it even more user-friendly and informative. One of the key improvements is the introduction of visual cards for places and products within AI Mode.

Users will be able to tap on these cards for more in-depth information. For local establishments such as restaurants, shops, and salons, Google will offer insights like ratings, reviews, and operating hours. When searching for products, users can expect to see shoppable options featuring real-time prices, promotional details, images, shipping information, and local inventory availability.

For instance, if you are planning a summer camping trip and search for “best foldable camping chair that fits in a backpack for under $100,” AI Mode will provide a comprehensive breakdown of suitable products, including detailed specifications and links to retailers. Furthermore, Google is enhancing user experience by implementing a feature that allows users to resume their past searches easily. On desktop, there’s a newly added left-side panel that enables access to previous topics, along with the information previously gathered by AI Mode.

Finally, due to positive responses to AI Mode, Google plans to conduct an experiment in the upcoming weeks, where a small percentage of users in the U.S. will notice the AI Mode tab available in Search. This marks an exciting step forward in how users interact with information online.
