Huawei has recently announced an “Innovative product launch” event scheduled for May 15 in Berlin. The official teaser hints at the introduction of the new smartwatch lineup, likely featuring the Watch 5 and the Watch Fit 4. So far, details from Huawei suggest that the Watch 5 will include several new health sensors positioned on the right side of the device.

Leaked press renders have provided a glimpse into the design of the Huawei Watch 5 and Watch Fit 4 ahead of the official launch. These leaks have also disclosed some information about the color options and global pricing details for the Watch 5. The Watch 5 will maintain a circular display similar to its predecessor, featuring a digital crown for navigation.

However, it also seems to include an oval window on the right side, which may house unknown health sensors. The specific function of these sensors remains unclear; they could potentially serve as a physical fingerprint sensor for added security. In terms of color, the Watch 5 is set to be available in various models, including gold/beige, blue, white, green, and black.

Different strap options will also be offered, including steel, silicone, and a unique fabric-like design. The leaked renders indicate that the smartwatch will feature essential health tracking functionalities, such as a SpO2 sensor, heart rate monitoring, step tracking, and calorie counting. The Watch 5 series is expected to come in 42mm and 46mm sizes, but further specifications have yet to be revealed.

On the other hand, the Huawei Watch Fit 4 is anticipated to maintain a design similar to the Watch Fit 3. It will feature a square display with slightly thicker bezels and will include a digital crown for user interface control, along with a custom button. Notably, while the Watch Fit 3’s microphone is flush with the body, the Watch Fit 4’s microphone will protrude from the main square casing.

Complete specifications for the Watch Fit 4 are still pending. Pricing for the Watch 5 is reported to start at €499, approximately $566, and there may be plans to introduce the Watch 5 Pro and Watch Fit 4 Pro models during the event. More details are expected to emerge as the launch date approaches.
