The OnePlus Watch 3 has experienced quite a tumultuous journey since its release in February. Initially met with praise reminiscent of the OnePlus Watch 2, the smartwatch soon garnered attention for a notable typo: the bottom read “Meda in China” instead of the intended “Made in China.”

In a commendable move, OnePlus acknowledged this mistake and committed to remaking all affected units. This decision led to a delay in the watch’s availability.

The OnePlus Watch 3 eventually returned to the market earlier this month, but at a significantly higher price. It launched at $499, likely due to tariffs, although OnePlus did not provide an explanation at that time.

Recently, OnePlus announced a price adjustment, bringing the Watch 3’s price down to $349.99 in the U.S., which represents a $20 increase from the original launch price. The company clarified that this new price would be the final Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP).

Along with this announcement, OnePlus stated that customers who purchased the watch at the higher price of $499.99 would receive a refund of the difference directly to their original payment method. This gesture emphasizes OnePlus’s commitment to transparency and customer satisfaction in challenging market conditions.

At a competitive price of $349, the OnePlus Watch 3 offers considerable value. Known for its affordability, OnePlus has maintained a reputation for delivering great products since its inception in 2012.

Although the initial price tag of $499 made it a tough sell, the new price puts it on par with the Google Pixel Watch 3, making it an appealing option for buyers. Lastly, with an impressive battery life of five days, the OnePlus Watch 3 stands out as one of the longest-lasting Wear OS smartwatches currently available.
