Google Fi Wireless is celebrating its 10th anniversary with an extensive update that includes a brand-new Unlimited Essentials plan, significant data upgrades across existing plans, and the introduction of data-only eSIM support for tablets and laptops. In response to growing competition from MVNOs such as US Mobile and Visible, Google is taking bold steps to enhance its offerings.
The newly launched Unlimited Essentials plan is priced at $35 per month, providing unlimited calls, texts, and data, accompanied by 30GB of high-speed data. This plan is positioned below the revamped Unlimited Standard plan, which now offers 50GB of high-speed data, an upgrade from 35GB, and increased high-speed hotspot tethering from 5GB to 25GB, all while maintaining its price at $50 per month.
The Unlimited Premium plan, formerly known as Unlimited Plus, has also received a major boost. It now provides 100GB of high-speed data and raises hotspot tethering limits to 50GB.
This plan still offers unlimited data in over 200 countries, six months of complimentary YouTube Premium, and 100GB of Google One cloud storage—all for $65 per month. Additionally, data-only SIM options are available for tablets and laptops, with the recent introduction of data-only eSIM capabilities making it easier to connect multiple devices.
To further celebrate its anniversary, Google Fi is offering limited-time promotions for both new and existing customers. New users can take advantage of significant discounts on the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel Watch 3, along with a structured rebate plan.
Though existing customers do not have specific discounts mentioned, Google Fi is providing deeper instant rebate offers on all Pixel 9 phones. This comprehensive update marks one of the most significant changes in Google Fi’s history, making it a competitive player in the evolving market.
