Apple recently unveiled a new advertisement showcasing the photo clean-up feature of Apple Intelligence. This ad aims to highlight one of the few functionalities that stand out, even if it might not be enough to redeem the entire Apple Intelligence experience. Many users have noted that overall, Apple Intelligence is lackluster, falling short of expectations with its rather basic features. The photo clean-up feature, which allows users to remove unwanted objects from images, demonstrates a capability that is now quite common among mobile AI systems.

The advertisement depicts a scene where a man is taking a photo, only to discover that an undesirable figure has appeared in the shot. Thanks to Apple Intelligence, removing that figure becomes a simple task with just a few taps. However, it’s essential to recognize that such a feature is merely a basic expectation in today’s AI landscape. Despite this, I must concede that the photo clean-up feature stands out as one of the more effective elements of Apple Intelligence.

Even so, it pales in comparison to what competitors like Samsung’s Galaxy AI are offering, which consistently delivers superior object removal results. Additionally, Apple Intelligence has sparked considerable controversy, leading some users to file lawsuits against the company for allegedly false advertising. Furthermore, Apple was anticipated to introduce a revamped version of Siri powered by Apple Intelligence, but this has faced delays, resulting in more legal challenges. With the upcoming release of iOS 19, rumors indicate a shift toward a redesigned user interface rather than new features for Apple Intelligence.

As the tech world buzzes with excitement over AI advancements, Apple’s delay in delivering more robust functionalities may hinder its standing in the competitive market.
