Recent leaks have unveiled numerous details about the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro, but this is not the only rugged device anticipated from Samsung. The Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro has now received its FCC certification, suggesting that its launch is just around the corner.

Though their names differ, the “XCover” and “Active” lines share a common goal: to provide robust devices capable of enduring tough conditions. Samsung’s “Active” tablets are particularly suited for business and industrial applications.

They are also an excellent option for parents who wish to give their children a sturdy tablet that can withstand rough handling. The recent FCC listing for the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro, as noted by Xpertpick, indicates that the launch is imminent.

Devices that secure FCC certification typically debut within weeks. Therefore, it is likely that Samsung will unveil this tablet alongside the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro rugged smartphone soon.

The listing reveals that the model number for the tablet is SM-X356B and that it will support 5G connectivity. There is also a Wi-Fi-only version, identified as model SM-X350B, expected to be available.

Key features emerging from the FCC listing include support for a wide range of 5G bands, and 128 GB of internal storage. A microSD card slot and a removable battery are also anticipated.

Prior certification from the Korean Testing Certification Institute has indicated that the tablet will support 15W wired charging with the adapter model EP-T150. Further validation of the specs comes from GeekBench testing, showing the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip and have 6GB of RAM in the base model.

It will be compatible with Samsung’s S Pen, enhancing productivity and creativity for users, especially children using drawing applications. The device is expected to launch with Android 15, incorporating Galaxy AI features.
