Razer has temporarily suspended the sales of its Blade 16 and Blade 18 laptops in its US online store. Customers looking to purchase these recent models will find a “notify me” button in place of the traditional “buy now” option. Interestingly, the Blade 14 model continues to be available for purchase, presumably because it is an older version powered by RTX 40-series GPUs and the company likely has sufficient stock on hand.

The reason for halting sales of the Blade 16 and Blade 18 has not been disclosed by Razer. The company has not provided any comments regarding the decision, which leaves room for speculation about various factors, including the potential impact of new tariffs set to take effect. The Verge reached out for clarification, but Razer has refrained from commenting at this point.

These developments coincide with the timing of new tariffs, suggesting that they could be a contributing factor to the halted sales. Such a connection is further emphasized by Nintendo’s recent decision to delay US pre-orders for the Switch 2, also attributed to tariff concerns. It remains ambiguous whether Razer’s pause on sales might lead to potential price increases.

At present, consumers can still purchase the affected laptops through retail partners, although availability may vary. For instance, while the Amazon listing for the Blade 16 indicates it is out of stock, customers can still place orders and receive notifications about estimated delivery dates. Additionally, Razer has introduced a new laptop stand, originally set for a release on April 8, but its sales have also been stopped in the US online store, with the same “notify me” message displayed.

Meanwhile, other Razer products, such as the Huntsman V3 Pro Mini keyboard, remain available for purchase. Sales in Razer’s Canadian online store and other international markets continue unaffected, though it is unclear when US sales will resume for the laptops and the new stand.
