Patience Required: Samsung’s One UI 7 Release Timeline May Take Longer Than Anticipated
Samsung has recently unveiled a schedule for the release of One UI 7, and users may find the timeline more frustrating than anticipated. The update commenced today for select devices, while many others will not see the rollout begin until June 2025.
The initial rollout is focused on several premium devices, including the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. For those eagerly awaiting this update, it may be wise to manage expectations given the extended wait for other models.
According to the release schedule provided by Samsung Korea, the update process will continue through June of this year. It is important to note that global availability may take additional time.
To break it down by month, the April rollout includes the Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Z Fold Special Edition, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, Tab S10+, S10 Ultra, S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, and S24 FE. Moving to May, the devices receiving the update will be the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, Tab S9, S9+, S9 Ultra, S23 FE, Z Fold 3, Z Flip 3, A34, A35, S22, S22+, S22 Ultra, Tab S8, S8+, S8 Ultra, S21, S21+, S21 Ultra, Galaxy A16, Galaxy Quantum 5, and Galaxy Quantum 4.
In June, the updates will reach devices such as the Galaxy Tab S9 FE, S9 FE+, A73, A53, A33, A25, A24, A15, Quantum 3, Jump 3, Jump 2, Buddy 3, Galaxy Tab A9, A9+, Tab Active 5, Tab Active 4 Pro, and Wide 7. While some of these models are specific to Korea, updates for globally available devices typically follow a similar timeline, offering a glimmer of hope for international users.
