Samsung has reached an important milestone in its One UI 7 beta program with the official release of the update for the mid-range Galaxy A55. Although the tech giant has faced delays with the One UI 7 rollout, it has remained proactive, focusing initially on flagship models before branching out to mid-range devices. The Galaxy A55 is now the first mid-range device to receive the Android 15-based One UI 7 beta update.
Currently, this update is limited to users in South Korea, specifically those on SK Telecom’s network. Customers interested in accessing the beta can do so by signing up through the Samsung Members app. After joining the program, users can install the update by navigating to the Settings menu and selecting Software update.
It is essential to note that while other eligible countries will receive the beta rollout in the coming days, the United States will not participate, as the Galaxy A55 has not been officially launched there. Therefore, US users seeking to experience the new features will need to consider purchasing other models such as the Galaxy A26 or Galaxy A36. Additionally, Samsung is set to begin the stable rollout of the One UI 7 update on April 7, with the US launch occurring on April 10.
The update will first be available for last year’s flagship models, including the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6. Following that, devices such as the Galaxy S23 series and Galaxy Z Fold 5 will receive the update in subsequent weeks. Users with Galaxy Tab S10 and Tab S9 devices can also expect to see the update shortly thereafter.
