Google has launched the Android 16 Beta 3.2 update for multiple Pixel smartphones and the Pixel tablet. This update addresses several issues, including problems with haptic feedback, battery drainage, and display flickering during photo capture. The update is being rolled out over-the-air to compatible devices. The Android 16 version is currently in an active development phase.
Google released the Android 16 Beta 3 update recently, followed by the Android 16 Beta 3.1, which fixed some bugs. The new Beta 3.2 iteration brings additional fixes to enhance user experience. This update is identified by the build number BP22.250221.015 and includes the March 2025 security patch. Among the notable improvements, the update corrects a miscalibration issue with haptic feedback and addresses excessive battery drainage that occurred even when the device wasn’t in use.
Additionally, it fixes a problem specific to the Pixel 6 series that sometimes caused the screen to flicker while taking photos or videos. Along with these fixes, several other issues affecting system stability and overall usability have been resolved. The size of the update is around 35MB. The Android 16 beta update is available for various Pixel devices, including the Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold, Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8a, Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
It’s important to note that only devices enrolled in the Android Beta for Pixel program will receive this new update. Google is expected to release the stable version of Android 16 later this quarter, potentially in June, with more information likely to be shared during the upcoming Google I/O 2025 event in May.
