Unihertz has unveiled its latest smartphone, the Titan 2, which closely resembles a BlackBerry device. This new offering features a full physical QWERTY keyboard along with two displays, making it a compelling choice for fans of the classic BlackBerry Passport.

The Titan 2 pays homage to the BlackBerry Passport in design and functionality, presenting an Android experience reminiscent of the past. It is a successor to the previous model, the Unihertz Titan, which I reviewed in 2020.

The smartphone boasts a square main display measuring 4.5 inches with a resolution of 1,440 x 1,440 pixels, mirroring the specifications of the BlackBerry Passport. Additionally, it sports a secondary 2-inch display on the back, which offers a resolution of 410 x 50 pixels.

At the heart of the Titan 2 is its touch-sensitive QWERTY keyboard. Located beneath the primary display, the keyboard features four rows of physical keys, including a function row.

The innovative design allows for scrolling and cursor movement directly through the keyboard. Furthermore, it is backlit and supports multiple languages, enabling users to create custom shortcuts for quicker app access.

The Titan 2 comes pre-installed with Android 15 and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor. With 12GB of RAM and a 5,050mAh battery supporting 33W charging, the device promises robust performance.

Its camera setup includes a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 3.4x optical zoom, and a notable 32-megapixel front-facing camera. Currently, the Titan 2 is on Kickstarter, where it has surpassed its initial funding goal significantly, reflecting strong interest and support from the community.

Unihertz is also working to ensure carrier compatibility worldwide, including gaining approval for AT&T and Cricket networks.
