In an unexpected move just weeks before its major July 9th Unpacked event, Samsung has quietly introduced its latest budget-friendly earbuds: the Galaxy Buds Core. By launching these affordable audio companions, the company aims to make them available to users sooner rather than later, providing an appealing option for those seeking quality earbuds without a hefty price tag. The official unveiling validates earlier leaks, revealing that the Galaxy Buds Core prioritize essential features at a competitive price.

These new earbuds come packed with impressive specifications that cater to budget-conscious consumers. One standout feature in this price range is Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which promises a significant reduction in ambient noise. This allows users to enjoy music, podcasts, or phone calls without distractions, even in busy environments.

The inclusion of ANC in Samsung’s most affordable earbuds is a notable advantage. Battery life is another strength of the Galaxy Buds Core. With the charging case included, users can expect up to 35 hours of audio playback when ANC is turned off.

Even when ANC is enabled, the earbuds can provide approximately 20 hours of playback, which is sufficient for daily use. Furthermore, the Galaxy Buds Core support Samsung’s Seamless Codec (SSC), ensuring high-quality wireless audio for Samsung devices, while also accommodating AAC and SBC codecs for other brands. They integrate with Galaxy AI features, allowing for touch control functionality.

Durability is also a plus, with an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, making them suitable for workouts. They connect via Bluetooth 5.4 for a stable connection and utilize a convenient USB-C port for charging. As for pricing, the Galaxy Buds Core launched in India at approximately ₹4,999 (around $58).

This places them in a desirable position in the budget earbud market, offering a strong combination of features, including ANC, at an affordable price. It remains to be seen how this pricing will translate in other regions like the US and Europe.
