Samsung has officially scheduled its Unpacked event for July 9, 2025, where the company will unveil its seventh-generation foldable devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Anticipation is also building for the launch of the Galaxy Watch 8, Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025), with the possibility of additional surprises.

For the first time since 2019, Samsung will hold Unpacked in New York City. Remarkably, this will be the debut of a foldables-focused Unpacked event in the U.S. Their initial in-person event returned in 2023 in South Korea, and last year’s event took place in Paris to coincide with the Olympics, which Samsung sponsored heavily.

The return to New York is a welcome change, restoring a sense of tradition to the event. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to receive significant upgrades, featuring a thinner build, a wider front display, and maintaining the same size battery.

Reports indicate that the Fold 7 will measure 3.9mm when unfolded and 8.8mm when folded. The enhanced display size, which will closely resemble that of the Galaxy S25 Plus, has been a highly sought-after improvement among users.

Samsung has also launched a Galaxy Reserve program, enabling fans to reserve their pre-orders until July 9. By signing up with their name and email, customers can benefit from an additional $50 off their pre-order, earn 3X Samsung reward points, and enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win $5,000 in Samsung Credit.

The Unpacked event will kick off at 10 AM ET, with TM Roh taking the stage. Typically, these events last about an hour.

While many details are anticipated, there is speculation regarding possible surprises, including the potential announcement of Samsung’s Android XR headset, Project Moohan. We will be present at Unpacked in New York City in nearly two weeks, ready to provide the latest updates from Samsung’s launch event, which promises to feature at least five confirmed devices.
