Samsung recently unveiled a teaser for the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7, hinting at an AI camera feature. Thanks to insights from a tipster, we now have a clearer understanding of what this entails. The Galaxy Z Fold 7, along with the Galaxy Z Flip 7, is expected to be equipped with Samsung’s new Galaxy AI ProVisual Engine, suggesting a significant upgrade in camera capabilities. According to the tipster, PandaFlashPro, this next-generation ProVisual Engine will eventually be extended to the Galaxy S25 series.
It’s worth noting that while this is a new iteration of the ProVisual Engine, it is not entirely new, as the technology first launched last year. The enhancements with this AI engine include improved image quality, superior digital zoom, and enhanced video stability, making photography and videography much more dynamic. The teaser provided a glimpse of the camera design for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, revealing three vertically aligned camera rings. Although Samsung was initially vague about the specifics of the AI camera technology, the recent insights have clarified the potential advancements.
The company spoke about “seamless integration of hardware, software, and AI,” implying a comprehensive approach towards enhancing user experience. Anticipation is building for the official launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, slated for next month. The devices are expected to be announced either in early or mid-July, although Samsung has yet to confirm an exact date. Additionally, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is rumored to be unveiled during this event.
Recent information also suggests the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be notably thinner than its predecessor, the Fold 6, and will feature larger displays, promising significant improvements in design and functionality.
