Samsung is reportedly preparing to introduce a new model in its popular Fan Edition (FE) lineup, the Galaxy S25 FE, before the end of 2025. Recently, a tipster discovered the purported Galaxy S25 FE in the Geekbench benchmarking app’s database, indicating that the device is nearing its official announcement.
Furthermore, Samsung has initiated software testing for the Galaxy S25 FE, which signifies that the launch is getting closer. The upcoming Galaxy S25 FE will reportedly run on Samsung’s One UI 8 software.
This information came to light from X user @alfaturk16, who found data on Samsung’s servers. Although the specific version of the One UI software wasn’t mentioned, it’s anticipated that the device will be released with Android 16 and One UI 8 right out of the box.
The global version of the Galaxy S25 FE is identified with the model number SM-S731B, and the test software bears the build number S731BXXU0AYFB, though additional details about the phone remain scarce. Earlier leaks suggest that the Galaxy S25 FE may feature slimmer display bezels.
However, benchmark listings indicate that it could be powered by the Exynos 2400e processor, which was also used in last year’s Galaxy S24 FE. The phone is expected to have the Samsung Xclipse 940 GPU, and one variant will sport 8GB of RAM.
On the positive side, the selfie camera may see an upgrade to 12MP, from the previous 10MP. Unfortunately, the rear camera specifications are expected to remain unchanged from the S24 FE, featuring a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultrawide-angle sensor.
Samsung initially introduced the Galaxy S24 FE in September of last year, so it is likely that the successor will be unveiled around the same time this year. As the launch date approaches, more details are expected to emerge from the rumor mills.
