Samsung enthusiasts have reason to be excited as recent leaks unveil key details about the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra. According to a reliable tipster, this new Ultra model aims to focus on refinement rather than drastic changes, aiming for a sleeker profile and improved thermal management. Starting with the display, the S26 Ultra will retain the generous 6.9-inch screen size of its predecessor, the S25 Ultra. However, it is expected to have even thinner bezels, enhancing the screen-to-body ratio.
For fans of the S Pen, there’s reassuring news: Samsung has tested S Pen functionality without a digitizer but determined that retaining the digitizer is essential for a seamless stylus experience. In terms of design, the new handset will maintain a look reminiscent of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Yet, a notable change is on the horizon — Samsung plans to eliminate the protruding camera rings, which had drawn criticism. The device will also uphold its water and dust resistance, holding an IP68 rating.
When it comes to photography, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will boast a 200 MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor alongside a 50 MP ultra-wide sensor and a 50 MP periscope sensor offering 5x optical zoom. The telephoto lens is anticipated to improve as well, with a 12 MP upgrade over the S25’s 10 MP. Additionally, a new laser autofocus sensor and next-gen ProVisual Engine will enhance image processing. While details about the front camera remain sparse, it is expected to see improvements.
Under the hood, the S26 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 chip in all regions, likely featuring a TSMC-made 3nm version. A larger vapor chamber cooling system, 1.2 times bigger than that of the S25 Ultra, aims to mitigate heat and enhance performance. With all storage variants set to come with 16GB of RAM, the S26 Ultra may not revolutionize the market but promises to deliver an improved experience for devoted fans.
