Google appears to be preparing to unveil a new accessory, known as the Pixel Wireless Charger. This information has surfaced thanks to a post by Arsene Lupin on X. He mentions that the upcoming wireless charger will be distinct from another new product, the Google Pixel Charger in Rock Candy, which is essentially a white color variant. The Pixel Wireless Charger is sparking curiosity, although Lupin did not provide an image of it.
The accompanying concept image does give an idea of what it might look like. Based on speculation, this charger could be a puck-style device, similar to Apple’s MagSafe charger. It’s essential to clarify that this is not to be confused with the existing Pixel Stand, as these are two separate charging solutions. Given that the Pixel 10 series will support Qi2 wireless charging and include magnet features, it’s possible that this new device may also function as a magnetic charger.
Moreover, Lupin has also hinted at the upcoming release of the Google Pixel Buds 2a. These new earbuds are expected to launch alongside the Pixel 10 series and will reportedly be available in four colors: Hazel, Fog Light, Iris, and Strawberry. The first generation of Pixel Buds gained popularity due to their comfort, sound quality, and affordability, setting a high bar for this new budget-friendly model. In summary, alongside the announcement of four new Pixel 10 smartphones, Google will introduce the Pixel Wireless Charger and Pixel Buds 2a.
If the latest reports are accurate, the official launch is set for August 20, echoing the Pixel 9 series announcement from the previous year.
