Apple’s official transparent iPhone showcases the current design of MagSafe, which is prominently centered within the phone and marked by a small tail at the bottom. However, recent photos suggest that this design could undergo changes, particularly for the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro series.

The tipster Majin Bu Official has shared images indicating that Apple may slightly modify the MagSafe design for the iPhone 17 Pro. The adjustments involve altering the classic full circle to a design featuring a circle with a small opening at the bottom.

Additionally, there is speculation about moving the Apple logo further down the device. The reasoning behind this shift in logo placement is unclear, yet it seems linked to the anticipated larger camera module on the iPhone 17 Pro.

This change appears to be largely aesthetic rather than functional, aiming to maintain the logo’s visibility despite potential modifications to the phone’s structure. Concerns regarding compatibility with existing MagSafe accessories can be set aside, as most reports indicate that the transition should be smooth.

Majin Bu notes that while the magnet repositioning might necessitate minimal adjustments to the magnetic field, feedback from accessory manufacturers suggests that current MagSafe products will remain compatible with the new design. It’s important to highlight that these changes may be exclusive to the iPhone 17 Pro series.

Leaked images and renders show that the base models, including the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air, will likely retain their design from previous iterations. Although the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will share similarities with the iPhone 16 lineup, the primary distinction will be the updated camera module.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 17 series later this year, likely in September, making it essential to treat all such information with cautious optimism until the official reveal.
