The Xiaomi MIX Flip 2 has been introduced as a formidable competitor to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7. This device, marking the second generation of Xiaomi’s flip phone foldables, showcases impressive specifications and features. Equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, Qualcomm’s top mobile chip, the MIX Flip 2 promises powerful performance. It comes with a whopping 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and offers storage options of up to 1TB with UFS 4.1.
The device also boasts a 6.86-inch main foldable AMOLED display, featuring a resolution of 2912 x 1224 and an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz. With a peak brightness of 3,200 nits and support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, this screen aims to deliver a stunning visual experience. The MIX Flip 2 includes a generous 4.01-inch cover display, which is also an AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1392 x 1208. This panel has a 120Hz refresh rate and mirrors its main display in brightness and HDR capabilities.
Additionally, the device is powered by a 5,165mAh battery that supports fast charging with 67W wired and 50W wireless options, and it includes stereo speakers for enhanced audio quality. Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the dual rear cameras, including a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS and a Leica Summilux lens, as well as a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. There’s also a 32-megapixel camera for selfies. The MIX Flip 2 features a side-facing fingerprint scanner and runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2, likely based on Android 15.
Its improved hinge design enhances structural strength and drop resistance, with a certification for 200,000 folds. Measuring 166.89 x 73.8 x 7.57mm open and 86.13 x 73.8 x 15.87mm when folded, the device weighs 199 grams and comes in a variety of color options. Although it was announced in China, a global version is expected to follow soon.
