Xiaomi has begun the countdown for the release of its new foldable smartphone, the MIX Flip 2, which will be unveiled during the “Human x Car x Home” event on June 26. This upcoming device is expected to deliver a flagship-level user experience, as indicated by its recent Geekbench listing and powerful chipset. Geekbench has tested the Xiaomi MIX Flip 2, yielding impressive scores of 2,835 in single-core and 8,550 in multi-core benchmarks. The listing confirms that the MIX Flip 2 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, which also means it will incorporate the Adreno 830 GPU, known for its ray tracing capabilities.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite is recognized as one of the most powerful processors available in the mobile market and is built on TSMC’s 3nm process with an 8-core structure, featuring two high-performance Oryon cores and six efficiency Oryon cores. For context, the previous model, the MIX Flip, released in 2024, was equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, suggesting that the MIX Flip 2 will continue to provide top-tier performance. According to Geekbench, this foldable phone will also come with 12GB of RAM and will run on Android 15, making it one of the first devices to receive the next version, Android 16. In terms of specifications, the MIX Flip 2 will feature a 6.85-inch LTPO AMOLED main display with a 1.5K resolution and a 4.01-inch cover display.
It will be IPX8 water-resistant, protecting it from water damage. Additionally, the device is expected to house a 5,100mAh battery, offering 50W wireless charging and 67W wired charging, while maintaining a design similar to its predecessor with a dual-camera setup and a punch-hole display with minimal bezels.
