The upcoming budget flip phone from Samsung has officially been named the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. This confirmation comes from a recent certification listing by Taiwan’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC). The decision to name the device Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE rather than simply Galaxy Z Flip FE aligns with Samsung’s strategy as the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is also set to launch, making the naming convention logical for future models.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is identified by its model number, SM-F761B. While the NBTC certification verifies the name of the device, it does not provide additional details. Previously, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE has also received certifications from India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which further indicates that its release is imminent.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE along with its sibling devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, in mid-July. While the exact launch date is still undisclosed, reports suggest it might occur during an upcoming event, potentially the second Unpacked event of the year in New York, which has been hinted at by Samsung’s recent announcements. Regarding specifications, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is anticipated to feature Samsung’s Exynos 2400 processor, coupled with 8GB of RAM.

It will run on Android 16 out of the box, with Samsung’s One UI 8 overlay. The device is also expected to support 25W wired charging, consistent with its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 6. However, any hopes for the launch of Samsung’s first tri-fold phone during this global release may be dashed, as that device is rumored to be scheduled for a later release in Korea and China.
