Samsung has recently launched the One UI 8 beta program in several regions, and it has quickly reached its maximum capacity in the United States. Currently, only users of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra are eligible to participate in this beta program for the latest software.

However, there are indications that Samsung may soon extend the beta program to include older models such as the Galaxy S23 and even the Galaxy S22. Preparations are underway for expanding the One UI 8 beta to previous Galaxy models.

Samsung has established new beta community pages for the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S22 in Germany, which suggests an upcoming rollout in additional regions like the U.S., UK, and South Korea. Although there are no specific pages yet for the Galaxy S24 series, it is anticipated that these devices will soon receive the beta update as well.

Notably, Samsung has not officially announced the extension of the beta program to older devices, but it has confirmed that a stable version of One UI 8 will be released with the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 in July. According to tipster Tarun Vats, it’s possible that the One UI 8 beta for the Galaxy S24 series could launch by the end of June or in early July, with the Galaxy S23 series likely following suit in mid-July.

The upcoming One UI 8 update is expected to introduce several new features for Galaxy phones and tablets. Notable enhancements may include alarm groups, improved file filtering in My Files, upgrades to the Now Bar, split-screen enhancements from Android 16, and a panic button for the Secure Folder.

Additional updates will support better multitasking and refined functionality for Samsung Internet and Samsung Reminders. Samsung is expected to unveil a complete change log during its next Unpacked event in July, so stay tuned for more updates.
