Recent leaks about the upcoming OnePlus 15T have emerged, featuring impressive specifications that are generating buzz. This information originates from Digital Chat Station, a well-known tipster; however, it’s worth noting that the post was later deleted from Weibo. This deletion raises questions about the accuracy of the details shared. According to the initial claims, the OnePlus 15T will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor, serving as a successor to the OnePlus 13T, which uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.

Notably, OnePlus has a history of skipping the number ‘4’ due to its unfortunate connotations in Chinese culture. This trend has been observed in their primary smartphone lineup, from OnePlus 3 to OnePlus 5. Interestingly, the OnePlus Nord 4 did make an appearance, indicating that this practice is not a strict rule. The tipster also mentioned that the OnePlus 15T will feature a larger battery than the forthcoming OnePlus 15 flagship.

While specific battery details weren’t revealed, the OnePlus 13 has a 6,000mAh battery, and the 13T ups that to 6,260mAh, despite its smaller size. In terms of design, the OnePlus 15T is expected to sport a 6.3-inch 1.5K OLED display, continuing the brand’s focus on compact smartphones. An ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner and a metal frame are also anticipated features. The launch is projected for the first half of next year, align with the release timeline of the OnePlus 13T, which debuted in April this year.

While the removal of the original post warrants caution, if these details hold true, the OnePlus 15T is shaping up to be a notable addition to the company’s lineup.
