The Logitech MX Master 3 has gained popularity for its thoughtful design, and the upcoming MX Master 4 aims to enhance this legacy. While Logitech G primarily targets the gaming market, the MX Master line is specifically crafted for everyday users, including students and professionals seeking ergonomic solutions. The MX Master 4 maintains the model’s overall design but introduces subtle adjustments that may improve user experience. Although it’s uncertain how these changes will be received, they appear functional and deliberate.

Images revealing the MX Master 4’s design were recently released by the European Union Intellectual Property Office, highlighting some visual transformations. The most significant changes involve the left and right click buttons, which are now wider and span the entire width of the mouse. In comparison, the current model features narrower buttons with a small piece of plastic separating them. Another notable modification is the thumb rest.

While it retains a similar overall size, the grip material appears to have changed, now looking more sectioned instead of wrapping entirely around the mouse’s back. The MX Master 4 also adds a third button on the side, just above the thumb rest, offering more functionality than the previous model, which had only two. Additionally, a new feature near the thumb rest has emerged, resembling a small circular button, though its purpose remains uncertain. This change isn’t entirely opaque, as the position of the LED indicator light has shifted from the side of the mouse to above the DPI adjustment button.

Currently, there are no specifications regarding battery life, DPI enhancements, or pricing, but potential upgrades suggest improved technology and compatibility with both Windows and macOS systems.
