Nothing is set to significantly broaden its smartphone portfolio with the upcoming launch of the Nothing Phone (3) on July 1st. This device is expected to be powered by the robust Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and will showcase several design modifications aimed at enhancing user experience. Complementing the smartphone debut, Nothing will also unveil its first over-ear audio accessory, the Nothing Headphone (1), which has largely remained under wraps in terms of both features and design.
However, some leaks have provided glimpses of what to expect. The Nothing Headphone (1) is designed with inspiration drawn from retro cassette tapes. Leaked images reveal that the headphones will carry the brand’s iconic design, particularly on the ear cups.
These headphones will feature a distinctive two-part construction with a metallic base complemented by a plastic top. Additionally, one of the images highlights “sound by KEF” branding, hinting at the collaboration between Nothing and KEF aimed at pushing the boundaries of sound innovation. The leaked visuals further suggest that the Nothing Headphone (1) will come equipped with three buttons—two located on the side and one on the outer earcup.
Despite being primarily a wireless accessory, these headphones will retain a 3.5mm audio jack for users who prefer a wired connection. However, photos indicate that the design does not allow for foldability. Recent videos shared by a tipster on X showcase individuals testing the headphones, giving fans a sneak peek of their function and comfort.
Pricing details for the Nothing Headphone (1) have emerged, indicating a cost of $309 in the US, €299 in Europe, and £299 in the UK. The headphones are expected to be available in both Black and White colors. While official specifications are still pending, it is reasonable to anticipate high-end features like active noise cancellation, a transparency mode, and a reliable battery life.
