Google has launched a new application named ‘Doppl’ for Android and iOS users, referring to it as an “experimental app” developed by Google Labs. This innovative tool acts as a personal virtual stylist, aiding users in visualizing potential outfits on themselves. The primary function of Doppl is straightforward: it allows users to see how various clothing items would look on them.

To start, users must upload a full-body photo. After this initial setup, they can easily try on clothing items by uploading pictures from their camera roll, whether they are downloaded images or freshly taken photos. Google’s technology seamlessly integrates the clothing into the user’s image, streamlining the virtual dressing experience.

It’s essential to note that, as of now, Doppl is only available in the United States. Doppl builds upon the features offered by Google Shopping, which previously introduced the capability to virtually try on billions of clothing items. It enhances this concept by allowing users to utilize photos or screenshots to experiment with various outfits.

Additionally, Doppl adds a dynamic element by using AI-generated videos to animate the clothing on a user’s image, providing a more vivid impression of how an outfit will fit and look. As an early-stage project within Google Labs, Doppl is still in development, which means it may not always deliver perfect results. Users should be aware of this potential for inaccuracies.

Currently, the app can be downloaded on both Android and iOS, but it remains exclusive to US consumers for the time being, with possibilities for future expansion to other markets.
