Samsung has recently launched the One UI 8 Beta 1 update based on Android 16 for its Galaxy S25 series smartphones. Currently, the beta program is available in select countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, South Korea, and Germany.

The company plans to roll out this new firmware to more regions and older Galaxy phones in the near future. Following the initial beta release, Samsung is preparing to introduce the One UI 8 Beta 2 update for the Galaxy S25 series shortly.

In advance of an official announcement, a reliable tipster known as @Tarunvats has provided insights into the upcoming One UI 8 Beta 2 build. According to the tipster, Samsung is currently testing this update internally on the Galaxy S25 series under the build name “ZYF1.” This new firmware will feature an updated version of the home screen app, One UI Home, which has been upgraded to version 17.0.00.127 from 17.0.00.113.

Although specific details about the new features are not yet available, improvements to both functionality and appearance are expected. Additionally, the update addresses a peculiar issue found in the first beta version regarding the app drawer, where the spacing between apps and the search bar appeared awkward.

The new beta build will rectify this issue, restoring the app drawer to its normal state. Improvements are also on the way for home screen widgets, which faced resizing problems in the initial beta; these issues are set to be fixed in the upcoming update.

Samsung is likely to expand the One UI 8 Beta program to more countries soon. Initially, the program offered a limited number of slots, but it appears the company may increase availability in the coming days.

Rumors suggest that India and Poland could be among the next locations to gain access. Additionally, there is speculation that Samsung may soon include other flagship devices such as the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy S23 series, and Galaxy S22 lineup in the beta program.

The Galaxy S23 series might receive the beta build update as early as next month, while the stable One UI 8 version for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 is expected to launch next month.
