Following the release of official renders for Nothing’s distinctively designed Phone (3), we now have the official specifications for the company’s inaugural pair of over-ear headphones. Not long ago, Nothing confirmed their plans to launch these headphones this summer. The Nothing over-ear headphones will weigh 329 grams, making them heavier than Sony’s WH-1000XM6, which come in at about 252 grams, yet lighter than Apple’s AirPods Max, weighing 384 grams.

The company claims that their headphones will outperform the AirPods Max in terms of performance. In terms of audio quality, Nothing has equipped these headphones with 40mm drivers and has partnered with KEF for enhanced sound. KEF, a prominent British company, specializes in developing high-end audio equipment, focusing on speakers, subwoofers, and headphones.

Their reputation for innovative audio technologies makes this collaboration a logical choice for Nothing, especially considering that competitors like Samsung already have partnerships with audio brands such as Harman Kardon, AKG, and JBL. Battery life is another highlight for the Nothing headphones. With Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) turned off, users can expect about 80 hours of playback.

However, with ANC enabled, this duration drops to approximately 35 hours when using the AAC codec. If the LDAC codec is activated, battery life shifts to 54 hours with ANC off and 30 hours with ANC on. These headphones also support Google Fast Pair and include features like on-head detection, Microsoft Swift Pair, dual connection, LED charging status, low lag mode, personal sound profiles, and Find My Device functionality.

All in all, Nothing has packed a wealth of features into these headphones. The official announcement is scheduled for July 1, coinciding with the launch of the Nothing Phone (3).
