Seniors looking for a tailored option might consider the new AT&T 55+ Plan. AT&T has recently introduced the AT&T 55+ Plan, specifically designed for older customers. Jenifer Robertson, the executive vice president and general manager of AT&T Mass Markets, emphasizes the company’s commitment to meeting the needs of this demographic.

She states that AT&T aims to provide simplicity and reliable connectivity, addressing the unique challenges faced by customers aged 55 and older. The AT&T 55+ Plan offers competitive pricing, with one line available for $40 a month or $35 per month for two lines. Additionally, there is a bundled option costing $99 a month that includes two wireless lines along with either AT&T Internet 300 or AT&T Internet Air.

This plan provides unlimited talk, text, and data in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, as well as 10GB of hotspot data for connecting devices like laptops or tablets. AT&T also enhances security by including the ActiveArmor service to help block spam and scams. Plus, the plan is backed by the AT&T Guarantee.

AT&T is not alone in the market for senior plans. Previously, the company offered a discounted plan for $62 a month, but it was limited to Florida. Other providers like T-Mobile and Verizon have their senior plans as well, with T-Mobile’s Essential Choice 55 Plan priced at $60 and Verizon’s 55+ Plan ranging from $62 for one line to $84 for two.

Currently, AT&T’s offerings are the most economical, although other carriers may provide more data. This is an important factor for potential customers to consider when selecting a plan.
