Recent leaks have provided insights into the camera specifications of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. This information divulges details about all three cameras on the device, including two rear cameras and a selfie camera. It appears that the Galaxy S25 Edge will boast an impressive camera setup, echoing the high-quality offerings Samsung is known for. The Galaxy S25 Edge will feature a 200-megapixel main camera, which Samsung previously utilized for the Galaxy S25 Ultra flagship.
This sensor is sized at 1/1.3 inches, promising exceptional resolution and detail in photos. Additionally, the device will include a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera on the back, featuring a 1/2.55-inch sensor. This is the same ultrawide camera that Samsung has applied in its standard and Plus versions of the Galaxy S25. As for the selfie camera, Samsung has opted to maintain consistency by using a 12-megapixel sensor that has been in their previous Galaxy S23 series.
Specifically, this is the S5K3LU sensor, also referred to as ISOCELL 3LU, with a size of 1/3.2 inches. Interestingly, Samsung has decided not to implement the higher-resolution 50-megapixel ultrawide camera found in the Galaxy S25 Ultra, sticking with the 12-megapixel option instead. The Galaxy S25 Edge is set to launch on May 13, according to confirmations from Evan Blass and various other sources. While it will not be released in the U.S. immediately, the device is expected to arrive there by May 30.
Notably, the Galaxy S25 Edge is poised to be a remarkably thin smartphone, measuring just 5.8mm, and powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, positioning it between the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra in terms of pricing.
