Samsung has launched the One UI 8 beta program, with the Galaxy S25 series smartphones leading the way in this initiative. This program is currently accessible in select countries, including Germany, South Korea, the UK, and the US. Users in these regions can now participate in testing the latest features of One UI 8. One UI 8 is built on Android 16, allowing Galaxy S25 owners to experience the latest enhancements.
Despite the recent release of Android 15 with One UI 7, Samsung is already introducing beta testing for its new version. It’s worth noting that Samsung was somewhat delayed in rolling out the stable Android 15 update, but the company is making strides with One UI 8. For those living in the eligible countries and possessing a Galaxy S25, S25+, or S25 Ultra, this beta program could be of great interest. However, potential testers should be aware that this is beta software, meaning that it may have bugs.
The update is quite large, exceeding 3GB, so make sure to have ample space on your device before proceeding. To join the beta program, users must first download the Samsung Members app. After opening the app, sign in with your Samsung account—the one linked to the device you plan to update. A banner for the One UI 8 Beta Program will appear on the home screen; tapping it will enroll you in the program.
Once enrolled, navigate to Settings, then Software Update, and select Download and Install to access the update. After downloading, install it and restart your phone. Samsung plans to roll out more beta updates as it finalizes One UI 8, and other devices and possibly additional countries will also gain access to this beta program in the future.
