Motorola recently introduced the Moto G Power 2025 in January, and already we have a glimpse of its successor, the Moto G Power 2026. The device carries the model number XT2615-1, signifying it as a Motorola product. The first two digits indicate the year of release, while the following digit shows the series (Moto G, in this case), and the fourth digit identifies the specific model.

The dash number typically denotes the region, with -1 indicating a model for the US market. For comparison, the 2025 model had the designation XT2515. At this stage, details about the Moto G Power 2026 are limited.

However, we know that Motorola continues its collaboration with Pantone, featuring a Pantone 431C color, which is a dark slate blue. While this looks appealing, it appears that this model may omit some premium materials seen in recent Motorola devices. Nevertheless, there is still a possibility of a vegan leather option, reminiscent of both the Moto G Power 2025 and other Motorola models, though this model seems to primarily utilize a plastic back designed to mimic glass.

The Moto G Power 2026 appears to retain the triple-camera arrangement introduced in the previous model. However, one of these cameras is not a traditional camera but rather an ambient light sensor, which is likely to remain the same in 2026. It’s indicated that the device will be equipped with a 50-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), maintaining an 8-megapixel ultrawide option from the previous iteration.

Historically, the Moto G Power devices have been announced shortly after CES, and the expectation is that the 2026 model will follow a similar timeline. Gradually, smartphones are being introduced earlier each year, so an announcement may occur in different markets, potentially before the end of 2025. In terms of specifications, modest upgrades are anticipated.

There may be a transition from the Dimensity 6300 to the Dimensity 6400 chipset, announced in February, featuring a 6nm process. The battery capacity is expected to remain at 5,000mAh along with 8GB of RAM. While we hope the price point will stay close to the Moto G Power 2025’s retail price of $299, fluctuating tariffs may affect this.
