Today, we have exciting news about the Motorola Moto Edge 70, the upcoming edition in the Moto Edge lineup. This is intriguing as its predecessor was just unveiled last week, making the appearance of a render quite early in the cycle.

The Moto Edge 70 will maintain its signature curved edges, though it won’t feature the increasingly popular quad-curved design. Notably, it will continue to use a vegan leather back and come equipped with three functional cameras.

This sets it apart from the recently leaked Moto G and Moto G Power, which feature cameras that aren’t fully operational as they include an ambient light sensor instead. While the specifics of the cameras are still under wraps, we anticipate that Motorola will stick with its established configuration from the Moto Edge 60, which includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 10-megapixel 3x telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens.

A desirable enhancement would be an upgrade for the telephoto lens. Typically, Moto Edge devices are positioned as flagship offerings, though they aren’t the absolute highest-end within the Motorola range, a title held by the Edge Pro.

With the Moto Edge 70, we can expect it to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 7000 series, possibly upgraded to the Dimensity 7400. Additionally, a RAM upgrade to 12GB across all storage options is likely, especially given the extensive AI features recently announced.

As for the launch date of the Moto Edge 70, while nothing is confirmed, past patterns suggest it could debut on September 24. That date aligns perfectly for Motorola to introduce new devices, although it would put them in competition with Apple’s new iPhone 17 series, indicating confidence in their product lineup.

However, this timeline is notably quick, coming just five months after the Edge 60 series was released. Anything could happen between now and then.
