The Sony Xperia 1 VII is set to launch soon, and there is a wealth of information available about this upcoming smartphone. We’ve obtained official renders and marketing materials that provide insights into its design and features.

In total, we have 39 images that showcase the Xperia 1 VII in its three color options: Black, Green, and Purple. Each color has its own gallery, displaying the device from multiple angles.

The overall design maintains Sony’s signature boxy aesthetic, featuring a flat display, flat back, and a flat frame. Notably, the top and bottom bezels are slightly thicker than those of competing models to house the selfie camera, eliminating the need for a hole in the display.

Physical controls on the Xperia 1 VII include all buttons situated on the right-hand side. This includes a power/lock key positioned beneath the volume buttons, which also serves as a fingerprint scanner.

A camera shutter key, designed to cater to photography enthusiasts, is located further down. On the back, a triple camera setup is arranged in a vertical orientation within a designated camera island, situated in the top-left corner.

Sony is continuing its partnership with ZEISS for camera technology, featuring ZEISS T* coating to reduce glare. The camera system includes ultrawide and main (wide-angle) cameras, along with a periscope telephoto lens.

Additionally, users will find a 3.5mm audio jack on the top of the device. As for the display, it will incorporate Sony’s BRAVIA technology, supported by dual illuminance sensors for optimal brightness and color reproduction.

A 5,000mAh battery is expected to deliver a two-day battery life, claiming four Android OS updates and six years of security updates. Camera features include a Lock Focus function and Autoframing option, with an upgraded ultrawide camera that is significantly larger than its predecessor.

Alongside excellent low-light performance, the Xperia 1 VII will boast high-quality macro photography capabilities, enhanced full-stage stereo speakers, and support for Hi-Res Audio. The phone is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and may include up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM.

The launch event for the Sony Xperia 1 VII will take place on May 15, with global availability likely following shortly thereafter.
