Google has been developing the Battery Health menu for an extended period, enabling users to monitor their battery’s degradation over time. This feature, long available for Apple’s iPhones, has recently been made accessible on the Pixel 9 series and the Pixel 8a through Android 16 Beta 3.

However, if you’re curious about whether this menu will be rolled out to older Google Pixel models, unfortunately, the news is not favorable. According to *Android Authority*, a Reddit user highlighted a post detailing Google’s official response in its Issue Tracker.

The response confirmed that the Battery Health Indicator will not be available for any older Pixel devices. Google stated, “The Battery Health Indicator feature is currently supported in Beta 3 on Pixel 8a and Pixel 9 products, including 9 Pro Fold.

Due to product limitations, this feature will not be available on older in-market Pixel devices.”

Despite previous reports hinting at the long-awaited introduction of the Battery Health menu, its availability was officially recognized with the launch of Android 16 Beta 3. Looking ahead, it appears that the Battery Health feature might only be offered with the stable Android 16 update for the Pixel 9 series and the Pixel 8a.

It’s puzzling that more powerful models, such as the Pixel 8 Pro, will miss out on this functionality simply because they belong to an older generation. For those with the Pixel 9 series or the Pixel 8a, anticipation should build as Google prepares to release the feature in the forthcoming stable Android 16 update.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that the latest Pixel 9a already comes equipped with the Battery Health assistant.
