Recently, Google I/O showcased some exciting new features, with Pixel users receiving early access to many of them. Google has since communicated through an email to Pixel owners, informing them about the upcoming functionalities that will be available soon. While the exact launch date remains unclear, it is expected that most features will roll out within the next few weeks. One of the standout announcements was the introduction of a revamped “Material Three” design.
This new aesthetic promises to be flexible and customizable, allowing users to better express their personality and style. It retains the bubbly and smooth appearance first seen in Material You with Android 12 but introduces new colors, animations, and interactions, offering a fresh flair. This design will be implemented across Android, Wear OS, and various Google applications, so users should stay tuned for its arrival. Additionally, Google unveiled enhancements to its Gemini feature.
During the event, the company revealed that Gemini Live will be able to integrate with more applications, including Google Tasks, Google Calendar, and Google Keep, enabling a much more conversational interaction akin to a personal assistant. Furthermore, tighter integration with Google Maps was also announced. Another significant development is the introduction of Gemini to the Pixel Watch. This transition reflects Google’s ongoing shift away from Google Assistant in favor of the Gemini technology.
Users can expect a more conversational experience on their Pixel Watch, enhancing usability. However, Google noted that this feature will take a few months to be fully operational, meaning users will need to exercise a bit of patience while awaiting its rollout.
