A recent leak has highlighted a range of improvements expected in the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7. While these enhancements may not be groundbreaking, they aim to make the device more competitive compared to its predecessors. Samsung has often been conservative regarding hardware updates in its Galaxy series, drawing some criticism from fans.

However, the success of the Galaxy S25 series demonstrates that this approach has not adversely affected sales. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is anticipated to showcase various small improvements that collectively enhance its overall appeal. Tipster @TheGalox_ recently shared a list of these potential upgrades, indicating that while nothing is revolutionary, several enhancements could solidify the device’s position in the market.

Notably, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to feature larger screens, with the internal foldable display possibly reaching 8 inches and the external display about 6.5 inches. Additionally, an upgraded Under Display Camera (UDC) system could significantly improve selfie quality when the device is unfolded. Further enhancements may include a more robust and durable structure, achieved through new layers that strengthen the display and reduce the visible crease.

This could also allow the phone to be thinner, measuring only 4.5mm when unfolded. Samsung is also likely to enhance the device’s water and dust resistance. Powering the device will be a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, specifically the “for Galaxy” overclocked version.

An expanded vapor chamber cooling system can help maintain optimal performance over extended use. The camera experience may improve with the inclusion of a new 200MP sensor, making it the first in the Z Fold lineup to feature such a high-resolution camera. Other anticipated features include more immersive haptic feedback, enhanced stereo speakers, and the software running on Android 16-based One UI 8.

Samsung is expected to officially unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7, along with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the affordable Galaxy Z Flip FE, in July.
