HONOR is set to unveil its latest smartphone, the GT Pro, in China on April 23rd. This announcement follows the recent launch of the HONOR Power smartphone, which features a remarkable 8,000mAh battery. While some specifications of the GT Pro have been teased on HONOR’s Weibo account, full details were leaked online prior to the official event.

The HONOR GT Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, offering robust performance alongside LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The phone showcases a 6.78-inch flat AMOLED display, supporting 1.5K resolution, a refresh rate of 144Hz, and an impressive touch sampling rate of up to 2700Hz. To ensure durability, the display is protected by HONOR’s Giant Shield Glass, which provides significantly better drop and wear resistance compared to standard glass.

This smartphone is equipped with a powerful 7,200mAh battery, employing a silicon-carbon technology the brand refers to as the “Qinghai Lake battery,” a similar architecture found in the HONOR Power. Additionally, it will feature the industry’s first SoC voltage regulation chip, enhancing overall efficiency. In terms of photography, the HONOR GT Pro is expected to boast a dual 50MP camera setup, consisting of a primary Sony IMX906 sensor with optical image stabilization and a Sony IMX856 telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom capability.

Additional cameras will also be integrated into the device. For security and durability, the smartphone will include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and achieve IP68 and IP69 ratings against dust and water. Audio capabilities are enhanced by Dual 1216 Super-linear Speakers, while haptic feedback will be delivered through an X-axis linear motor.

Connectivity options will include the HONOR C1+ RF Enhanced Chip, ensuring improved signal reception, along with support for Dual-band GPS and Tri-band BeiDou. The GT Pro will be available in various configurations of storage and RAM, including options of up to 1TB, and will come in White, Black, and Gold color variants.
