Motorola is gearing up to unveil two new smartphones in its Edge series: the Edge 60 and Edge 60 Pro. These upcoming models have recently been certified by China’s regulatory agency, TENAA, which has unveiled key specifications and images of the devices. Just days ago, Motorola launched the Edge 60 Fusion. Now it appears the Lenovo-owned company is expanding the lineup further with the Edge 60 and Edge 60 Pro.
Ahead of their official release, the smartphones have been showcased through various sources, including renders and promotional content. Both models have been listed under the TENAA certification, identified by the model numbers XT2505-4 for the Edge 60 and XT2507-5 for the Edge 60 Pro. The specifications reveal they both feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1,220p and curved edges. Additionally, the design incorporates an under-display fingerprint sensor.
While both phones share a similar design aesthetic, the Edge 60 Pro appears to have a dedicated hardware button on the left, likely serving as a Moto AI key. Regarding performance, the Edge 60 is expected to be powered by a 2.5GHz octa-core processor, while the Edge 60 Pro is anticipated to use a more robust 3.35GHz chipset, possibly the Dimensity 8350. Both devices will reportedly offer up to 16GB of RAM alongside storage options reaching up to 1TB. The Edge 60 features a 5,500mAh battery supporting 68W fast charging, while the Pro model has a larger 6,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging capability.
In terms of photography, the Edge 60 is equipped with a triple-camera setup including a 50MP main camera, a 10MP secondary lens, and another 50MP sensor for detailed shots. The front houses a 50MP camera for selfies. In comparison, the Edge 60 Pro is confirmed to have a 50MP main and a 13MP secondary camera, though details on a third rear camera remain unclear. Additionally, the Pro model is set to support 3x optical zoom and includes a 32MP front-facing camera.
With most details unveiled through leaks, an official announcement from Motorola is expected soon, although it remains uncertain whether these models will be available in the US market.
