The Motorola Razr Ultra 2025 has officially been announced and will hit the market starting May 15. This model stands out as the most powerful flip phone currently available, featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. With a price tag of $1,299, it boasts specifications that surpass its main competitor, the Galaxy Z Flip 6, in North America.
The Razr Ultra will be offered in four attractive colors: PANTONE Rio Red, PANTONE Scarab, PANTONE Mountain Trail, and PANTONE Cabaret. Each color features a distinct material; the Rio Red and Cabaret options have a faux leather finish, while the Mountain Trail incorporates wood, and the Scarab has an Alcantara texture. Interestingly, the Razr Ultra, much like its sibling the Razr Plus, will not be available through Verizon due to its lack of mmWave 5G support, as it only offers 5G Sub-6.
In addition to its impressive hardware, Motorola has packed the device with an array of AI tools, featuring integrations with Microsoft CoPilot, Perplexity, Meta, and Gemini. One notable AI feature is “Catch me up,” which provides users with a summary of notifications and allows replies to messages directly from that interface without needing to switch between apps. Motorola plans to price the Razr Ultra at $1,299, although prices may vary by retailer.
Pre-orders will commence on May 7 at Amazon, Best Buy, and Motorola’s official website, with availability through AT&T and T-Mobile starting on May 15.
