Samsung is expected to hold its second ‘Unpacked’ event of 2023 in early July, where it will unveil new foldable devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Ahead of the official launch, details about these upcoming models have started to surface. Reports indicate that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 may use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset instead of the previously speculated Exynos 2500.

A new report confirms that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will indeed feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which is anticipated to outperform the Exynos alternative. Additional information has also emerged regarding the phone’s display and battery specifications. The Greek website TechManiacs reveals that the Snapdragon 8 Elite will power the Galaxy Z Flip 7, offering improved performance.

The outer screen will reportedly increase in size to 4 inches, a notable upgrade from the 3.4-inch cover display found in the Galaxy Z Flip 6. The new model is expected to be slimmer, although exact dimensions have yet to be disclosed. It will retain a 50MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide lens while boasting a larger battery capacity of 4,300mAh, which is a 7.5% increase from its predecessor.

As for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, it is rumored to be significantly thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold 6, with a folded thickness of just 8.2mm compared to the previous model’s 12.2mm. The folding display size is expected to increase to 8 inches from 7.6 inches. Additionally, the Fold 7 might feature a new 200MP main camera, alongside the existing 12MP ultra-wide and 10MP telephoto lenses.

Finally, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is projected to retail for about €100 more than the Z Fold 6, although it’s advisable to treat this price information cautiously until confirmed by Samsung.
