Roku has recently unveiled two new Streaming Sticks that promise to be “more compact and more powerful than ever.” The announced devices are the Roku Streaming Stick and the Roku Streaming Stick Plus. In addition to these products, Roku has introduced updates across its TV lineup aimed at enhancing the viewing experience.
Notably, the Roku OS has also received updates, incorporating personalized score highlights, a “coming soon to theaters” feature, and even expansion to projectors. The Roku Streaming Stick and its Plus version represent a new standard for the brand.
The Streaming Stick offers 1080p streaming, while the Streaming Stick Plus steps up to deliver 4K streaming. Both devices come equipped with voice input capability and Roku’s free streaming channels, making them accessible options for a variety of users.
The base model, the Roku Streaming Stick, is the more economical choice, priced at $29.99. It promises excellent value for those seeking quality streaming without breaking the bank.
The Streaming Stick Plus, on the other hand, supports higher resolution streaming at a price of $39.99 and also includes HDR support, setting it apart from its base counterpart. Both streaming sticks are currently available for pre-order, with an official release date set for May 6.
While they are not yet listed with other retailers, availability on those platforms is expected soon. Roku is also making these new streaming sticks accessible in several countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Peru, and the UK.
This expansion ensures that more viewers can enjoy Roku’s latest streaming innovations.
