OnePlus is preparing to launch what could be its most powerful tablet to date, currently known as either the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro or the OnePlus Pad 3R. The final name, however, has yet to be officially confirmed. This upcoming device has already surfaced on Geekbench, showcasing its performance capabilities, and was recently certified by the FCC under the model number OPD2408. Benchmarks indicate that this new tablet, which has surfaced with another variant number OPD2413, is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
This 8-core chip offers impressive performance, as evidenced by its Geekbench scores of 3,091 in single-core testing and 9,638 in multi-core testing. Alongside this powerful processor, the tablet is expected to run on Android 15 and feature a substantial 16GB of RAM, making it well-equipped for demanding applications. In terms of design and functionality, the OnePlus Pad is anticipated to support 80W charging, based on recent information from China’s 3C certification. However, it appears that wireless charging will not be included.
The tablet is likely to boast a 13.2-inch IPS LCD display with a sharp 3.4K resolution and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, providing an excellent visual experience. Storage options may range up to 512GB or even 1TB, while the battery capacity is expected to be around 10,000mAh. Additionally, a 13-megapixel camera will be positioned on the back. With previous releases in mind, the OnePlus Pad is projected to launch around mid-year, although an exact date has yet to be announced.
